Your Child's Bill of Rights

1. Your child has the right to unconditional love and respect.

2. Your child has the right to grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually without

     undue stress.

3. Your child has the right to an education that is developmentally appropriate and is founded on established

     child development principles.

4. Your child has the right to be free from the discomfort, embarrassment, and humiliation that accompanies

     perceived failure or marginal performance.

5. Your child has the right to a childhood that includes opportunities for play and recreation and is free from

     undue negative stress.

6. Your child has the right to be accepted and appreciated for the way he or she is now, not what he or she

     could be someday.

7. Your child has the right to be challenged. Opportunity must be provided to promote great achievements

     and victories consistent with potential.

The Shido-Kan Karate Dojo endorses these rights and strives to provide an environment that assures your child’s welfare and self-esteem. Whether in victory or disappointment, success or struggle, our students feel proud and accepted.

Everyone is an equal at the Shido-Kan Karate Dojo.

Here, everyone is a winner
